About the Author

Teju Cole is a Nigerian-American writer, photographer, and curator. He is the author of the novels Open City and Every Day Is for the Thief, as well as the essay collection Known and Strange Things. Cole's work has been translated into over twenty languages and has won numerous awards, including the National Book Critics Circle Award and the PEN/Faulkner Award.
