About the Author

Gary L. Leffew was born in 1946 and grew up in Oklahoma. He was drafted into the US Army in 1966 and served in Vietnam from 1967 to 1968. He was awarded the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart.

After the war, Leffew returned to Oklahoma and worked as a journalist and a teacher. He is now retired and lives in Oklahoma City.
